If you are subscribed to the anti-intellectual and anti-art statement of "fiction not affecting reality," this comic simply is not for you. All art has meaning; all art affects reality. You do not get to "cherry-pick" what fiction affects reality and what doesn't. I believe that art and media literacy are incredibly important, especially in today's world. So saying that art is "meaningless" outside of the "vacuum" it's created in goes directly against my morals.GLORIFICATION AND ROMANTICIZATION OF TRIGGERING TOPICS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
It is important to have the aforementioned triggering topics in media (SA, CSA, grooming, incest, etc), however, I believe that they must be portrayed in a way that does not potentially retraumatize or deeply trigger survivors. The commodification, glorification, or romanticization of abuse and other upsetting topics is not allowed around my comic.THIS IS A QUEER AND DISABLED-CENTERED COMIC.
Most, if not all, of the characters in this comic are queer, disabled, or both. I am not changing the identities of my characters to suit your comfort. Queer people exist. Disabled people exist.I AM ALLOWED TO SET BOUNDARIES FOR MY ART.
I believe that accessible boundaries are important. If you do not agree with any of these points that I have made, my art in general is not for you. I implore that you rather leave it alone than try to "change my mind" on my boundaries. These are made for my sanity and the safety of people who may find comfort or solace in the community or directly of Bag of Nails.

Howdy! You may call me Worm or Beau, and I am a self-taught artist. I have been drawing since I could pick up a pencil, as my first drawing was Mike Wazouski. I've been serious about art for about 10 years, working tirelessly improving my character designs, comic paneling, color theory, and just about anything else I could get my hands on. I do freelance commissions and character design as a hobby!

I am the author and artist behind the western thriller comic Bag of Nails! The idea of it came to me through a literal dream, and it evolved from there. I have been infatuated with the wild west ever since I was little, when I would be babysat by my grandfather. He would put spaghetti westerns on the box TV, and he'd fall asleep in the recliner behind me. That's a very fond memory I have.
Bag of Nails is a Western-themed comic set within the Victorian Era that features a diverse cast of characters with distinct personalities and backgrounds. Follow along for tales of mystery, dread, despair, and the consequences of secrets that go to the grave.

I have a tuxedo cat named Mipha (who is my ESA!), and two horses named Ronan and Jewel. I am currently a pre-veterinary senior in college, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. I am planning on pursuing a DVM and specializing in large animals to assist impoverished farming communities.
